Alexander Kim's case sent for new trial

The criminal case against Alexander Kim, the ex-owner of Vecherniy Bishkek publishing house, was sent for a new trial. The Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Judicial Board of the Supreme Court composed of Kachyke Esenkanov, Arzybek Akyev and Kydyk Junushpayev today canceled the sentence of the Sverdlovsky District and Bishkek City Courts against Alexander Kim, who was sentenced to 6 years of suspended sentence, and sent the case for a new trial to the district court.

Recall, Alexander Kim got six years of suspended sentence. He was accused of abusing the post of an employee of a commercial organization and, by a court decision, must pay to Alexander Ryabushkin 27 million soms.

The former owner of Vecherniy Bishkek called this case political and demanded its revision upon newly discovered evidence.
