Two more sections of the state border have been demarcated following the negotiations of the working groups of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
Negotiations of working groups of government delegations on the delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border were reportedly held from October 15 to October 21 in Namangan (Uzbekistan).
At the meeting, taking into account the interests of the two countries, the parties demarcated Shakhimardan site within Fergana region in neighborhood with Batken region. In addition, a part of Kandiyen-Bulok section of Namangan region neighboring Jalal-Abad region has been demarcated.
A protocol was signed on the results of the negotiations.
