A former adviser to the ex-president of Kyrgyzstan, Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov, was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security for 72 hours on suspicion of corruption. Sources in law enforcement agencies informed 24.kg news agency.
Recall, Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov, who was on the wanted list, was detained the day before and was taken to Bishkek tonight.
The Pervomaisky District Court authorized the arrest of Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov on October 18, granting the request of the SCNS investigator to detain former driver of Almazbek Atambayev. He was charged with corruption in absentia.
The day before, Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov was detained in Kazan and transported to Bishkek via Moscow. Colleagues from the FSB assisted to the staff of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
