Common EEU market of medicines. First 13 applications for registration received

Pharmaceutical manufacturers have filed 13 first applications for registration of drugs for the market of the Eurasian Economic Union. Viktor Nazarenko, a member of the board (minister) for technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission said at the All-Russian conference Pharmaceutical Medicines Circulation 2018 in Moscow.

According to him, a regulatory framework has been created for regulating the circulation of medical products in EEU. At least 37 documents common for the countries of the Union on medicines and 23 documents on medical devices have been developed and put into circulation. The principles of the work of participants in the single market within the information system of the union were determined.

The leader in carrying out expert work is Kazakhstan, whose authorized body received 11 applications. Belarus received two applications for registration of drugs and six — for pharmaceutical inspection of enterprises.

«Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Russia are not yet active. However, they are ready to join the process and fully support it,» said Viktor Nazarenko.
