Uzbekistan took the first place in National Geographic Traveler Awards 2018 in the nomination Gastronomic Tourism. Uzbekistan News portal says.
Voting took place on the website of the magazine. At least 34 percent of respondents voted for Uzbekistan. Italy took the second place with 21 percent of votes. Azerbaijan was also included in the top 3 leaders of gastronomic tourism, having won 17 percent of votes.
Visitors of the website voted for France (13 percent), Armenia (7 percent), South Korea (5 percent) and Sweden (3 percent).
