Deputy Minister of Social Development Jyldyz Polotova dismissed from post

Jyldyz Polotova was dismissed from the post of the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan. The decision was made by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.

The entire leadership of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development was dismissed after the scandal over overseas trips.

Jyldyz Polotova was on business trips four times a year — twice in Lithuania, once in Hungary and Thailand.

The resignations followed a scandal, when it turned out that the government officials had repeatedly organized business trips abroad for themselves using diplomatic passports.

Recall, the Prosecutor General’s Office, having checked the overseas business trips of the leadership of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, confirmed that Taalaigul Isakunova, despite the government’s earlier refusal, went on a business trip to St. Petersburg from November 16 to November 18, 2017 to take part in the anniversary meeting of the Consultative Council on Labor, Migration and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS Member States. She also visited the United States and Argentina without notice and permission from the Prime Minister.

Following Taalaigul Isakunova, her deputy, Lunar Mamytova, was fired from the ministry. The official wrote a letter of resignation, noting that she was tired of harassment.
