Kazakhstan imposes ban on import of meat from Kyrgyzstan

Kazakhstan imposed a temporary ban on the import of meat from Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported.

It is noted that the measure was taken in connection with an unfavorable situation with especially dangerous animal diseases in the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Restrictive measures will be applied to five Kyrgyz enterprises that have the right to export veterinary-controlled and supervised products to Kazakhstan.

It is about ban on the supply of products by Riha LLC, Kantsky Khlebzavod CJSC, Barkad LLC, Salih LTD and Adal-Azyk LLC.

"According to the results of an on-site inspection, temporary restrictions have been imposed on other four Kyrgyz enterprises since 2012.

Kyrgyzstan imposed a temporary ban on the import of poultry meat and eggs from Almaty and North Kazakhstan regions of Kazakhstan due to bird flu. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan considers such measures illegal.
