Officers of the Illegal Drug Trafficking Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs eliminated the channel for transporting of drugs. The press service of the ministry reported.
Suspects of the illegal storage, manufacture and transportation of drugs were arrested.
Two men — a resident of Issyk-Kul region and a resident of Chui region — were detained during joint operational search activities in Tyup district. At least 45 matchboxes with hashish (780 grams) were confiscated from them.
A criminal case was initiated under article 247 — illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment for sale, as well as illegal production or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainees were placed in a pretrial detention center. Investigative and operational activities to detect other persons involved in the crime are carried out. An investigation is underway.
