Deputies of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan propose a number of changes to the Law on Public Procurement. The document was adopted in three readings in 2016.
According to the Vice Speaker of the Parliament Mirlan Bakirov, amendments should be made in part of purchase of foodstuffs by state bodies, in particular, the State Border Service, the State Committee for Defense Affairs and boarding schools.
«If, for example, one of these organizations announced a tender for the purchase of meat, then only those farmers whose products have a certificate from a phytosanitary laboratory can participate in it. These are the requirements of the EEU,» said Mirlan Bakirov.
The deputies recommended the government to speed up creation of a version of the public procurement website in the state language, since people in the regions do not speak Russian.
