The Kyrgyz State Puppet Theater named after M. Zhangaziyev will take part in the 9th International Festival named after Obraztsov, dedicated to the Year of Culture in the CIS. The theater informed 24.kg news agency.
The festival will be held from October 5 to October 14 in Moscow. The Kyrgyz theater with the play Naiman Ene (Legend of the Bird Donenbay) based on the novel Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years by Chingiz Aitmatov will complete the festival program.
Producers use masks of João Juans as a mean of turning people into a criminal weapon for killing the sacred memory of their ancestors. The theme of turning the people into mankurts, raised by the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov in the last century, is still relevant today. The author of the play, performance is Baky Omuraliev, the director is Bekpulat Parmanov (Kazakhstan).
Participants of the festival will be puppet theaters from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. Special guests are Donetsk Republican Academic Puppet Theater, Lugansk Academic Puppet Theater, Russian Puppet Theater from Tallinn and ETCETERA Theater from Spain.
