Tender documentation for Safe City project states that a candidate must confirm its operation experience. Commercial Director of Vega Radio Engineering Corporation Sergei Kalmykov told at a press conference in 24.kg news agency.
He noted that the corporation had such experience. Vega has been operating since 1944, since 2012 it includes 27 enterprises and it is a federal scientific center in the field of radio engineering, radio detection. Its developments were used in the defense industry and the space industry.
«About three years ago, a decision was made to turn the industrial and scientific enterprises of the radio-electronic cluster of Russia towards the civilian sector. The corporation launched new directions in the field of innovative technologies. One of these areas is photo and video recording of violations of the traffic rules,» he said.
Sergei Kalmykov told about features of the proposed system.
«It was developed in 2016, passed certification, and is based on the application of a radarless video analytics technology and energy efficiency. The developed software allows to determine the type of vehicle, its speed, number and other attributes that help to register all traffic violations,» said the representative of Vega.
According to him, the system has been tested in many Russian regions, all the detected deficiencies have been eliminated.
«The contract clearly states that we at our own expense carry out design, supply, commissioning and preparation for testing of photo and video recording facilities. The commission of the customer, before putting it into commercial operation, will check each of the facilities for compliance with the requirements of the technical specifications,» added Sergei Kalmykov.
Recall, the competition commission recommends signing an agreement with Vega corporation. The company offered 1.125 billion soms for the 1st lot, for the second — 1,195 billion soms.
