MFA of Kyrgyzstan notes breakthrough in negotiations with Uzbekistan on borders

Kyrgyzstan hopes for legal registration of state borders. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev announced today at a meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

According to him, taking into account the current situation and the growing challenges in the OSCE area, holding of a meeting in one of the countries of Central Asia is very important.

«Kyrgyzstan attaches importance to cooperation with all countries of the region. Landlocked countries need to strengthen integration. Development of regional infrastructure in this area of cooperation is gaining positive momentum,» said Erlan Abdyldaev.

He added that cooperation between the countries of the region on solving border issues was growing.

«We are convinced that legal registration of state borders should become a reliable foundation. We note our breakthrough in this regard with Uzbekistan,» the Foreign Affairs Minister noted.
