Kyrgyzstan has no other advantages over neighbors except for tourism

«We have no competitive advantages over Kazakhstan, China and even Tajikistan, except for tourism,» deputy Akylbek Zhaparov said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on economic and fiscal policy.

According to him, it is necessary to consider the issue of the work of the national company Kyrgyz Tourism. It is it who should deal with the development of tourism in the country: creation of infrastructure, training of guides and staff, and attraction of tourists.

«Mostur company was created in Moscow, all the museums were given to it, it employed guides who speak English, and increased the flow of tourists. We have competitive advantages in tourism. All investments should be directed to the sphere of tourism. Educational and medical tourism should be developed. We are talking about the Mountain Cluster project for the eighth year in a row, but we are not doing anything,» said Akylbek Zhaparov.
