Kyrgyzstan got an opportunity to participate in resolving trade disputes at the World Trade Organization (WTO) site. The press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.
The headquarters of WTO approved candidacy of the ex-ambassador and permanent representative of Kyrgyzstan in the organization Muktar Jumaliev for the further formation of a panel on resolving trade disputes.
In case of any trade dispute between the countries — members of the WTO, Muktar Jumaliev can be included in the panel, consisting of three to five people. Its objectives are to study the legal aspects of a dispute arising between WTO members, preparing a conclusion and making a draft decision on a trade dispute.
«Muktar Jumaliev is the first representative of Kyrgyzstan involved in WTO dispute settlement bodies,» the report said.
