Employees of the State Committee for National Security together with foreign partners detained a militant of an international terrorist organization (ITO). Press center of the committee reported.
The 23-year-old man had been a member of one of such organizations for 5 years, underwent subversive and terrorist training and took part in military operations in Syria as part of bandit formations.
«Following the order of leaders of the ITO, he was engaged in illegal transfer of recruits to Syria. In total, more than 100 people from the CIS countries were sent to the zone of armed conflict with direct participation of the detainee. A criminal case was initiated against him under the article mercenary activities of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detainee was placed in the SCNS jail. The investigation is underway,» the State Committee for National Security informed.
