Rosselkhoznadzor bans import of 200 tons of products from Kyrgyzstan

From September 17 to September 23, inspectors of Rosselkhoznadzor Department for Novosibirsk Oblast detained more than 60 tons of fruit from Kyrgyzstan at the phytosanitary control post Karasuk. Agency’s website says.

The products were planned to be sold in the markets of Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, Irkutsk, Yakutsk and Karasuk city in Novosibirsk Oblast of Russia. Quarantine phytosanitary control found out that the fruit from Kyrgyzstan were transported with incomplete or completely unmarked packaging.

A total of 20.5 tons of grapes, 20 tons of plums, 13.9 tons of apples and 13 tons of pears were detained.

In addition, 63.1 tons of Kyrgyz fruit and almonds with invalid phytosanitary certificates were detained in Omsk Oblast (address of recipient was not complete). The cargo documents (pomegranates, plums, grapes, persimmon, peach, nectarine) with a total weight of 52,561 tons had non-existent organizations in the column «recipient». Phytosanitary certificates and product marking did not contain information about manufacturers that did not allow to establish the place of its actual origin.

All the goods were returned to their senders.
