The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan commented on the statement by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to South Korea Kylychbek Sultan and recommended to wait for results of a check.
«If the information turns out to be unreliable, the Foreign Affairs Ministry or employees of its central and foreign offices have the legal right to apply to the judicial bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to ensure protection of honor, dignity and business reputation,» the ministry explained.
Recall, Kylychbek Sultan spoke at a press conference, where he told about facts of corruption in the Foreign Affairs Ministry. The diplomat noted that he tried to get an appointment with the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov several times to report him personally, but he did not receive a response from the presidential administration.
The next day, the Kyrgyz Foreign Affairs Minister Erlan Abdyldaev submitted a proposal on dismissal of Kylychbek Sultan from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea.
