Activities of a religious-extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir were suppressed in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. The press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
It is noted that on July 20, as part of the fight against illegal activities of religious extremist and terrorist organizations, the State Committee for National Security together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted authorized searches of 29-year-old leaders of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Issyk-Kul region.
Banned literature and electronic media were seized from them. Two criminal cases were opened on September 20 based on the results of a religious expert examination.
