The Parliament of Great Britain will devote its meeting to the 90th anniversary of the national writer of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aitmatov. Sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.
According to the sources, ceremony with participation of representatives of two chambers of the parliament, as well as the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, will take place on October 11. Ambassadors of foreign countries will also attend it.
The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, along with other well-known British politicians, participated in Aitmatov Readings, organized by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the UK. The video was posted by the Kyrgyz Foreign Affairs Ministry on YouTube.
