Research Institute of Urban Development completed its work on a detailed design of the central part of the capital. Askhat Tuleberdiyev, the head of Bishkekglavarkhitektura, told this at a scheduled meeting in Bishkek City Administration.
He recalled that the document had passed several public hearings, where the need to finalize it was noted. «One of the main remarks was the inexpediency of congestion of the historical center. It was proposed to impose a moratorium on its development. The second was the need to preserve all monuments and objects of historical heritage. In addition, it is planned to build social objects on private land, it is necessary to plan this on state or municipal land, and, finally, the concern of the population about the possible withdrawal of private land for state and public needs,» said Askhat Tuleberdiyev.
The chief architect of the Urban Development Research Institute Yakov Mazmanov confirmed that the detailed design was ready and would be submitted for approval to the Bishkek City Council.
