School principal in Koi-Tash fired for beating schoolchild

Director of the secondary school named after Sakan Begmatov in Koi-Tash village was fired on the initiative of the staff of the ombudsman’s office for beating a minor. Press service of the ombudsman reported.

A resident of the village reportedly told that in May 2018 the director beat a sixth-grade schoolchild in the presence of teachers and children in a teacher’s room. Parents applied to the Ministry of Education. Check confirmed the fact. The director was then reprimanded.

Parent of the child decided to appeal to the ombudsman, who appealed to the prosecutor’s office of the Alamudun district to assist in resolving the issue. The prosecutor’s office told that they conducted a check. As a result, a recommendation addressed to the head of Alamudun district administration about bringing the guilty persons to strict disciplinary responsibility was made.

«At the initiative of the staff of the ombudsman’s office, a meeting was held last week at which it was decided to remove the school principal from post,» the ombudsman’s office said.
