A singer Zere Asylbek was ready for threats in her address after release of a resonant video clip for the song, in which she asks to respect her choice. The girl assures that this is not her last musical performance. Zere Asylbek will continue her creative work. She told 24.kg news agency.
According to Zere, she wrote a statement to the police as soon as she received messages in which unknown people promised to kill the singer if she would not apologize to the Kyrgyz people.
«My video is my work. I also wrote the lyrics by myself. And I’m not afraid of threats, fear will not lead to anything and will not solve the problem. There is a reaction, and this is a norm,» Zere Asylbek said.
The 19-year-old girl, a former student of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, decided to devote herself to singing. She does not know what her next song will be about.
«It depends on the inspiration and my spiritual impulses. Most importantly, my family — parents and brothers — support me. This gives me confidence and strength,» Zere Asylbek stressed.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that a check was carried out on the fact of receiving threats by the singer. A criminal case was not opened yet.
