Open Skies. Two Tajik airlines ready to fly through Kyrgyzstan

Two Tajik airlines are ready to fly through Kyrgyzstan. The head of the Civil Aviation Agency Kurmanbek Akyshev announced today at public hearings.

According to him, two Tajik companies want to fly to Beijing, Seoul and Guangzhou. Any country can join Open Skies project without hindrance.

Chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport and Roads Talant Sadakbaev noted that before adoption of this project, one should think about logistics, expand the airport, build a runway.

Kurmanbek Akyshev agreed with the arguments. «It may turn out that several companies will operate flights in a row, then there will be a problem. The hall is small. The question is raised for the third year. We need to build the second runway,» he replied.

A bill, providing unilaterally all countries that have expressed the desire to operate international flights through Kyrgyzstan the right of the fifth freedom of air, is being considered by the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
