Drunk Turkish attaché. MFA of Kyrgyzstan sends note of protest

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan sent a note to the Turkish Embassy regarding the attaché, who drove a car in a state of intoxication and was detained by the police. The Foreign Affairs Ministry told journalists.

According to the ministry, the document was handed to the Ambassador of Turkey through the State Protocol Department. «We asked not to allow such incidents from now on. I do not know whether this employee of the diplomatic mission was sent home,» stressed the Deputy Director of the Department Almazbek Koshonov.

The citizen of Turkey Karaz Erkan was detained  on the night of September 11 to September 12 for violation of the traffic rules. It turned out that the driver was drunk, but he was released since he had a diplomatic passport. The car was put on a car impound. The amount of the fine will be determined by the court.
