Citizen of Kyrgyzstan propagating radical Islam detained in Yakutia

Department of the Russian Federal Security Service for Yakutia detained a 22-year-old Kyrgyz citizen who recruited citizens for the international terrorist organization Jabhat al- Nusra. Russian media reported.

The Kyrgyzstani used social networks for recruitment. First, he joined an Internet group of Islamic orientation, where jihad and an armed struggle against the infidels were propagated.

The detained Kyrgyz citizen posted materials that justify and support the activities of terrorists in Syria, containing appeals in support of terrorists, on the Internet.

Investigation unit of the Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for Yakutia filed a criminal case under the Article Public Appeals for Implementation of Terrorist Activities, Public Justification of Terrorism or the Propaganda of Terrorism of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The Kyrgyzstani was charged and placed in a detention facility.
