It is planned to abolish the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety of Kyrgyzstan and transfer its functions to the Ministry of Agriculture. Deputy Ziyadin Zhamaldinov opposed it today at the session of the Parliament.
According to him, creation of the inspectorate is a requirement of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
«If the phytosanitary inspectorate is liquidated, the members of EEU can oppose and point out to us that this should not be done,» the deputy said.
He added that this issue should be considered urgently. However, the government has already adopted a decree on the abolishment of the state inspectorate.
