Foreign citizens are involved in sale of children from a hospital in Kyrgyzstan. Own sources in law enforcement bodies informed 24.kg news agency.
«It is known that foreigners applied to their embassy with a statement to obtain a certificate of birth of a child. The diplomatic mission sent a request to the Ministry of Health, and it was found out that the maternity home, where the certificate of birth of the child was issued, had not worked for six months already. The law enforcement agencies instituted criminal proceedings. Two doctors of a family practice center were placed in pretrial detention center,» the sources informed.
According to sources, information about found bodies of children is not true.
Raisa Asylbasheva, Chief Specialist of the Treatment and Prevention Department of the Ministry of Health, said that a departmental working group had been formed. «An official investigation is ongoing. We can not say more so far,» Raisa Asylbasheva said.
The police detained doctors suspected of sale of children in Bishkek. A criminal case was opened on trafficking in persons charges of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
