Measures are constantly being taken to prevent radicalism in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs Zakir Chotaev told today at a press conference.
According to him, lectures and work on covering theological and regulatory issues are carried out, measures on prevention of radicalism and extremism are taken at schools and universities of the republic.
«We explain the norms of the law in force in the sphere of religion. The listeners are explained that we live in a secular state where freedom of religion is ensured, but we should not confuse religion and radical extremist movements. In addition, the lecturers explain that people should not get involved in such organizations, as this is punished by criminal liability,» said Zakir Chotaev.
