A decision on reorganization or transfer of Sapat’s property in accordance with the charter is adopted at a general meeting of its founders. The press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The international educational institution Sapat has a mixed form of ownership and carries out activities in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Its founders are also the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science.
«As for the activity of Maarif Foundation, according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Turkish Maarif Foundation, a joint working group had been set up to draft an intergovernmental agreement. It will be submitted to the Parliament, where the document must pass the ratification procedure,» the ministry noted.
Recall, the Ambassador of Turkey to Kyrgyzstan Cengiz Kamil Firat stated at a press conference on September 10 that the schools of the former educational institution Sebat in Kyrgyzstan were built at the expense of Turkish taxpayers, so they should be returned to the state and transferred to the balance of Maarif Foundation.
A cooperation agreement with Maarif Foundation was signed during the recent official visit of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kyrgyzstan.
