Internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be formed again in Kyrgyzstan. The Presidential Administration confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
The corresponding decree was reportedly signed by the head of state Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The document states that internal troops as a part of the National Guard have limited potential and capabilities in resolving service and combat tasks to ensure Kyrgyzstan’s internal security.
The president considers it expedient to form internal troops at the expense of the staff, documents, buildings, constructions, material and technical means previously transferred to the National Guard.
The government, in addition to working out the relevant draft laws, was instructed to resolve organizational, financial and other issues arising from the decree.
