Svetlana Votinova, the editor-in-chief of the Belarusian literary and art magazine Maladosts, reported on social networking sites that the editorial staff was preparing for the 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov.
«From August to December, we publish a translation of the novel When the Mountains Fall. Eternal Bride into Belarusian, and we want to fill No. 12 of our magazine, in addition to the translation, with various materials dedicated to Chingiz Torekulovich, including essays that we collected during the announced contest My Chingiz Aitmatov,» she said.
According to Svetlana Votinova, the magazine will also publish articles and interviews, which will be found and recorded.
«I’m looking for authors, who could give us interesting materials about the writer or his works, as well as a profound specialist in the work of Chingiz Aitmatov, in order he gave us an article (or to have an interview with him),» the magazines’ editor-in-chief said.
Kyrgyzstanis are asked to respond to the request of journalists of Maladosts and help in the preparation of publications about the writer and his work.
