Ex-plenipotentiary representative of the president in the Parliament Moldakun Abdyldaev is running for the post of ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan. He filed an application to Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction. Its leader Almazbek Baatyrbekov told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, Moldokun Abdyldayev in 2014 was a plenipotentiary representative of the head of state in the Parliament, and headed the ombudsman’s office from 2008 to 2010.
Earlier, the candidate for the post of the country’s chief human rights activist, Rita Karasartova, was indignant that the Parliament violated the law and delayed the nomination of candidates.
The only faction that decided on the candidate was Ata Meken. The Socialists put forward the doctor of law Kanatbek Aziz.
The remaining factions have not yet decided on the candidates. Each faction can offer not more than three candidates.
The UN will monitor the procedure of nomination of candidates.
Recall, Kubat Otorbaev resigned from the post of ombudsman on June 26. According to him, this decision was deliberate and was made without any pressure from the outside.
