The heads of the Turkic speaking countries supported the idea of holding the 3rd International Issyk-Kul Forum, initiated by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
According to the Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, a joint statement dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov was adopted at the 6th meeting of the Summit of the Heads of the Turkic Speaking States. The urgency of expanding the format of the dialogue of civilizations and cultures, creation of platforms for interaction between intellectuals, scientists, thinkers, including young people, was noted.
Members of the CTSS will make efforts to preserve and promote the literary heritage of Chingiz Aitmatov. His works will be translated into different languages, films will be shot, Corners of Aitmatov will be opened in libraries. Aitmatov’s prize for young writers from Turkic speaking countries will be established.
