The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan expects that the dollar exchange rate in the country will reach 69.8 soms in 2019. An explanatory note to the draft budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for the next year says.
At the same time, the dollar exchange rate will grow from year to year. In 2020, the average exchange rate of the U.S. currency will be 70.5 soms, and in 2021 — 71.2 soms. The forecast rates were calculated on the basis of actual data on the cost of dollar from March 2017 to March 2018.
The forecasts of experts of the Eurasian Development Bank are more cautious. They expect that the dollar will cost 69.5 soms in Kyrgyzstan in 2019. But in 2020, according to EDB analysts, it will rise in price more significantly — up to 71.7 soms.
