Rukh Ordo cultural center in Cholpon-Ata hosts a meeting of the heads of the states-participants of the 6th summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic Speaking States in the enlarged composition under the chairmanship of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The head of state greeted the participants of the summit and thanked the President Nursultan Nazarbayev for successful chairmanship in the last three years in the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States. «During this time, Kazakhstan has done serious work to enhance the authority of the Turkic Council and implement important agreements of the heads of state of the CCTSS. We highly appreciate the work done by Kazakhstan,» he stressed.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov added that the Turkic Council was based on the common history, culture and language of our peoples.
«Today’s summit is held in a unique format,» the head of Kyrgyzstan said. «On behalf of the member states, I welcome the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Prime Minister of Hungary, Victor Orban, among us. I want to highly appreciate and support Uzbekistan’s intention to join the Turkic Council.»
Sooronbai Jeenbekov, adressing Viktor Orban, noted that Hungary, located in the heart of Europe, did not forget its Turkic history, customs, traditions and related roots, and therefore got the status of an observer state in the Turkic Council at the summit.
«This will confirm the expansion of the geography of the Organization, will have a positive influence on the activities of the Turkic Council, contribute to strengthening cooperation with other organizations,» the President stressed.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov reminded the distinguished guests that the theme of the summit was the National Sport and Cooperation in Youth Sphere. «The younger generation is the future of the country. Creation of decent living conditions for the young people is a sacred duty of every state. The work and implementation of projects in this direction directly depend on the economic opportunities of our countries,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov, adding that reduction of obstacles to the flow of goods and services, capital and labor was consistent with the objectives of cooperation.
In this regard, I call for further expansion of investment cooperation between the member states of the Turkic Council and the links between private sectors.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov
The head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan considered it necessary to pay attention to issues of economic diversification, expansion of transport corridors, development of entrepreneurship and improvement of the investment climate. «We propose to revive the work of the ministers of economy and working groups on economic cooperation,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
In addition, Kyrgyzstan, as a landlocked state, is interested in the successful development of transport routes that fully link trade between the East and the West. Therefore, the project on construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is very important.
The need to intensify work on cybersecurity, e-government and satellite communications was also noted.
«I urge all the parties to promote the process of cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies, initiated at the previous summit of the Organization. Kyrgyzstan implements the national program of digital transformation Taza Koom,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
He said that Kyrgyzstan was interested in the second stage of TASIM project, which played a big role for the countries of the Turkic Council. It is important for Kyrgyzstan that this project unites large centers of information exchange in the East and West.
«Kyrgyzstan actively supports the dynamic development of tourism between our countries. We are ready to make every effort to successfully implement the tourist package Modern Silk Road, which covers Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The gradual joining of this project by Uzbekistan and Hungary will make this package even more attractive,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov stressed.
