Military Prosecutor's Office opens criminal case on helicopter crash

The Military Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case on the fact of the helicopter crash in South Inylchek. The supervisory body informed 24.kg news agency.

Nobody has been charged at the moment.

«The criminal case was instituted on the fact of the helicopter crash on three articles: «Violation of the traffic safety and operation rules »,» Abuse of official position with causing particularly large damage«, as well as «Violation of the rules of flights or preparation for them by rail, air or water transport.» Guilty persons will be brought to criminal responsibility after the conclusion of the International Aviation Commission," the agency informed.

Recall, on July 9, the helicopter carried out a search operation and went off the radar. The press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic specified that the helicopter of the Air Defense Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Mi-8 MTV crashed during a rescue operation on the South Inylchek. The helicopter fell to the left side during the landing because of the strong side wind. As a result of the crash, six people were injured — three servicemen and three tourists.
