Laboratories of Kyrgyzstan can check the products on 95 percent of the indicators that are included in the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union on food safety. The Head of the Center for Laboratory Tests of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Department Aigul Zhumakanova told at a press conference today.
According to her, the work on 19 out of 37 EEU technical regulations was assigned to the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision. The agency conducts tests both on food and non-food technical regulations. At the same time, the country conducts tests on 95 percent of the food technical regulations and 55 percent of non-food ones.
«Equipping and introduction of new test methods allow our suppliers not to travel outside the country to receive test protocols. Entrepreneurs save both time and money. The prices of our laboratories are 2-3 times lower than, for example, in neighboring Kazakhstan. We did not receive equipment for the laboratories at the expense of the grant from Russia and Kazakhstan so far. We acquired it with the support of donor organizations — UNDP and the World Bank,» Aigul Zhumakanova told.
Based on the results of laboratory tests, Kyrgyzstan issues the following permitting documents: a declaration of conformity and a certificate of state registration.
