The Judicial Panel for Criminal Cases and Administrative Offenses of the Supreme Court examined the judicial material on the extension of the detention of the ex-head of Severnaya railway customs Nurbek Aibashev.
The judicial board upheld the judicial acts of two instance courts.
Nurbek Aibashev will be remanded in custody in the pretrial detention center 1 until August 17, 2018.
The former head of Severnaya railway customs is charged with illegal issue of permit for use of customs procedure for processing of goods outside the customs territory. The unjustified use of the permit caused damage to the state in the amount of 166 million soms.
The deputy chairman of the State Customs Service Zamirbek Niyazaliev is also defendant in the case.
