Since early 2018, at least eight incidents have occurred on the state border. The Chairman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Ularbek Sharsheev told at a press conference.
According to him, the majority of incidents occurred in the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border.
«Five incidents have been recorded there since the beginning of the year, three — in the Kyrgyz-Uzbek section. In 2017, there were 12 incidents in this period. In general, the situation on the border is calm,» Ularbek Sharsheev said.
He noted that the incident with the detention of Kyrgyz servicemen by Tajik border guards was investigated.
