Ex-Minister of Energy and deputy of the Parliament Osmonbek Artykbaev was again placed in the pretrial detention center of the State Committee for National Security. Own sources informed 24.kg news agency.
Recall, Osmonbek Artykbaev was transferred from the cell to the hospital two weeks ago. He was treated at the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after Mirsaid Mirrakhimov. The parliament member was operated. The postoperative period finished and he was returned to the pre-trial detention center.
Osmonbek Artykbaev was arrested on June 7.
At least four criminal cases were initiated and seven former top managers of the energy sector were arrested, including the former head of the Energy Holding Aibek Kaliev, the former general director of Electric Stations OJSC Salaidin Avazov, on the breakdown and modernization of the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant.
In addition, two former prime ministers Sapar Isakov, Zhantoro Satybaldiev and ex-mayor of Bishkek Kubanychbek Kulmatov are in custody. All of them were officially charged with corruption.
