Representatives of the non-governmental sector met today with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
Head of Public Foundation «Our Right» Kalicha Umuralieva noted that the sides had managed to build a dialogue.
«Each participant expressed a problem that he or she considered as relevant. The president answered some questions at once and wrote down the others, more global, and assured that he would answer each of them,» she told.
Kalicha Umuralieva noted the President’s deep awareness of the issues raised. According to her, despite the fact that the participants spoke about different spheres, there was an impression that Sooronbai Jeenbekov was competent in all these issues.
«The president promised that he would go on until the end and would not turn off the path of fighting corruption when the issue of his influence on all branches of power was touched upon. He said that he would not stand aside,» Kalicha Umuralieva stressed.
According to the human rights activist, the participants of the meeting were interested in the question of his relatives in power.
«The president listed everyone, told who was where, and promised that he would not allow their interference in the politics. In general, there was a frank conversation,» she summed up.
