Associate of a crime boss Ryspek Akmatbaev was detained in Bishkek on July 16. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to it, the detained man, born in 1975, had a 10.28 millimeter Grand Power gun with a magazine with 15 cartridges and a folding knife.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 241 (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, ammunition) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the ministry had previously registered him as a member of an organized criminal group, he was an associate of the crime lord Ryspek Akmatbaev, and is a native of Issyk-Kul region, who obtained Russian citizenship.
Investigative measures are being carried out in the framework of the criminal case.
