Tashkent — Tamchi flight has been canceled. The press service of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.
Earlier, the residents of Uzbekistan began to inform that it was impossible to come to Issyk-Kul region by plane. The travel company that launched the flight reported that it was canceled. Uzbekistan Havo Yollari Company confirmed the information.
«The flight Tashkent — Tamchi was really canceled due to lack of the revenue load,» the Ministry of Transport and Roads said.
It is now unknown whether the flight will be resumed. It was promised that it would be performed twice a week — on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
A year ago, officials also optimistically announced the opening of this flight. But there were problems. It was almost impossible to buy the tickets and they were very expensive. The first plane landed at Tamchi Airport on July 4, 2017. At least 190 Uzbeks came to Issyk-Kul region. The flight Tashkent — Tamchi — Tashkent was chartered. The carrier later stated that it was unprofitable.
As of today, one can come to Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan from Uzbekistan by bus and train.
