Georgia’s experience in reforming the tax system is relevant for Kyrgyzstan. The Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev announced this during the talks with the Minister of Finance of Georgia Ivane Machavariani.
According to him, the country is reforming a number of sectors of the economy, including the activities of fiscal bodies. The Georgian experience in reforming the tax and customs systems is relevant for Kyrgyzstan.
Ivane Machavariani said that the tax initiatives provided for the benefits for the entrepreneurs. Despite the tax rates reduction, the amount of tax collections in Georgia is growing every year. The country has also managed to achieve transparency in the activities of the customs authorities, which made it possible to increase the country’s transit attractiveness and increase the volume of customs receipts.
