Kyrgyzstan hopes for development of relations with Georgia

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev met with the Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze the day before.

Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev expressed confidence that the meeting would open new opportunities on the bilateral agenda.

He noted that Kyrgyzstan attached great importance to the further development of friendly relations with Georgia and hoped for the intensification of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, including within the framework of the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP +).

According to him, the experience of Georgia in the field of IT technologies, the implementation of reforms in the system of public administration, the provision of public services to the population, as well as in the transport and logistics sector will be useful for Kyrgyzstan. Georgian specialists can participate in the implementation of joint projects in the field of health care, agriculture and tourism.

Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev suggested holding a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Georgian intergovernmental commission in the fall.

Mamuka Bakhtadze noted that the Georgian side fully supported the democratic transformations taking place in Kyrgyzstan.

He also supported the proposal to hold the meeting of the intergovernmental commission. At the same time, he offered to create a joint working group on the digital economy and fiscalization of tax procedures.
