EEU countries to jointly fight against flow of undocumented goods across borders

Within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, the member states jointly develop common regulatory legal acts, aimed at improving the administration of the undocumented goods. The press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.

According to it, the problem of import of unaccounted goods affects the interests of all the EEU members. That is why the work on an agreement on marking of goods by identification means in EEU is under way. In addition, the mechanism of traceability of the goods is being worked out.

«These systems will make it possible to remove from the shadow the unscrupulous entrepreneurship subjects. The Ministry of Economy will continue to struggle with the unregistered flows of goods and protect the domestic producers. Protective measures are already in force. So, the issue of regulation of import of light and middle distillates, kerosene, gas oil, diesel fuel and other oil products into the territory of Kyrgyzstan was worked out,» the Ministry of Economy commented.

In addition, the mechanism for combating undocumented imports of goods from EEU states has been improved through the introduction of an accompanying note instead of the coupon. The mechanism has been introduced for a minimum level of control prices for goods, imported from the EEU countries into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic without shipping documents or at underestimated prices, and administrative liability has been introduced.

«These measures has led to an increase in tax revenues. Proceeds from the payment of VAT on imports of goods from EEU in comparison with 2016 grew by 3,081.8 billion soms, or by 25.6 percent. And the proceeds from the excise tax on imports from the countries of the union increased by 406.7 million, or 5.7 percent,» the Ministry of Economy summed up.
