A five-year-old girl drowned in a water canal in Osh city. The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the southern capital reported.
The child came to visit her grandmother and was left unattended.
«After the girl’s parents divorced, she lived with her grandmother. On the eve of the accident, the child played on the canal’s bank. Five-year old Akbermet was carried away by water,» the Internal Affairs Directorate reported.
The department noted that the police regularly carry out work to prevent such cases. But despite this, parents often leave their children nearby the water bodies unattended.
