Temirlan Ormukov decides to pay money to ex-president, parliament deputy

A poet Temirlan Ormukov decided to pay money to the ex-president Almazbek Atambayev and the deputy of the Parliament Dastan Bekeshev. He said this on Facebook.

According to him, he will divide 50,000 soms in coins in two halves and send it to the plaintiffs.

«This money was raised when I was put in detention center. My lawyers opened an account to buy medicine for me. I withdrew the remainders, exchanged them for coins and decided to pay off the debt. Although the case was suspended, I will still give the money to the former president, since it can be useful for him. Dastan Bekeshev is also not all right,» explained Temirlan Ormukov.

The poet said that he would send the rest of the coins to the government’s account to pay off the Kyrgyzstan’s foreign debt.

Recall, in early February 2017, a criminal case was opened against Temirlan Ormukov, known for critical statements against the politicians, including Almazbek Atambayev, for defamation.

The parliament member Dastan Bekeshev also addressed the police, whom Temirlan Ormukov accused of getting a large sum from entrepreneurs, selling right-hand drive cars, for supporting their interests in the Parliament. A check was carried out on the statement. The facts voiced by Temirlan Ormukov were not confirmed.

Temirman Ormukov links the case to his poem «The President’s Heart Aches.»
