As of June 1, 2018, at least 638,735 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were in Russia. Such data were presented in the publication «Monitoring of the Economic Situation in Russia» by the experts of the Economic Policy Institute.
It is noted that compared with the same period in 2017, the number of Kyrgyz citizens in Russia increased by 15,836 people. Taking into account this indicator, Kyrgyzstan takes the 4th place among the CIS countries. Russia has most of all citizens of Uzbekistan (2,017.8 million people), Ukraine (1,941.9 million people) and Tajikistan (1,123.9 million people).
In total, as of June 1, 2018, there were 8,286.9 million people in Russia.
This study notes that the increase in the population of Russia at the expense of citizens of Kyrgyzstan for January-April 2018 amounted to 4,800 people. This is the highest figure for the last three years. In 2016, this figure was 4,400 people, and last year, it decreased to 4,100 people.
