Kyrgyzstani wins silver at Asian Chess Championship

Kyrgyzstani Nail Alybakov won silver at the Asian Chess Championship among the schoolchildren. Chess-results.com website reports.

The Asian Championship ended on July 15 in Colombo (Sri Lanka). Participants competed for medals in categories up to 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 years. Nail Alybakov (up to 7 years) took the first place among the representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic at the classical chess tournament. He scored 7.5 points in 9 rounds.

In addition, in blitz chess tournament in the category under 13, Aziz Degenbaev scored 5.5 points in seven rounds and won bronze medal.

Earlier, Kyrgyzstanis already won two medals in fast chess within this Asian Chess Championship.
